A: As always, the safety and comfort of our guests is paramount. And while the chance of contracting the virus in Alberta remains low, further reducing your risk during your stay is our top priority.
We continue to prioritize our high standards of cleanliness, while implementing additional recommendations made by experts at Alberta Health Services. These include:
  • Emphasizing increased hand-hygiene for both team members and guests
  • Providing hand-sanitizer in public areas and high-quality disinfecting soap in washrooms
  • Regularly disinfecting high-touch surfaces such as door handles, pin-pads, room key cards and elevator buttons with commercial strength disinfectant
  • Supporting our team members who exhibit flu-like symptoms to stay home
To date, no cases of COVID-19 have been traced to stays at our hotel. In the unlikely event this occurs, we are prepared with additional procedures.
A: As with any pandemic, we must all work together to stop the spread of the virus. Symptoms of illness can take up to 14 days to appear. To prevent the spread of illness, we encourage all guests to:
  • Wash hands frequently, scrubbing thoroughly for 20-30 seconds
  • Avoid contact with eyes, nose and face with unwashed hands
  • Cover coughs and sneezes with the elbow or shoulder
  • Sanitize frequently touched items such as cell phones, room key cards and car keys regularly
  • Use caution when visiting areas with large amounts of people, including increased hand-washing and monitoring for symptoms
When in Alberta, individuals experiencing flu-like symptoms should remain self-isolated and call Healthlink 8-1-1 to be advised of next steps by a health professional. If you are severely ill and require immediate medical attention call 911 and inform them that you may have COVID-19. Remember: influenza and the common cold are far more likely causes of respiratory illness among travellers!
A: We encourage and support any staff member who feels ill in staying home as a preventative measure. Team members that have travelled outside of the country will be required to self-isolate for 14 days upon their return.
Our staff team has received information about how to stop the spread of the virus as it relates to their position within our hotel. Housekeepers, front desk, maintenance and administrative staff all play an important, yet distinct, role. In addition, we encourage staff to creatively problem-solve and take initiative to suggest new ways of keeping guests safe - we trust our team.
